The Lumière Gala began as the Grand Opening event for Brookstreet in June of 2003. Based on the success of this unique and unforgettable event, Brookstreet’s Chairman, Terry Matthews, decided that Lumière should take place every year. In addition, the focus of this event would be to raise funds for worthwhile charitable organizations; to date we have distributed over $175,000 to local charities. Meanwhile, media have called Lumière “Ottawa’s best summer party,” "a must-attend summer party," and "one of, if not the most delightful gastronomic events of the summer."

2008	$56,400 raised for The Mike Weir Foundation which will donate locally to CHEO.
2007	$31,500 raised for the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
2006	$33,000 raised for CHEO.
2005	$22,600 raised for the United Way.
2004	$33,994 raised for the National Ovarian Cancer Association.
